Teni, also known as Teniola Apata, shared her reasoning for not hiring a bodyguard during her visit to the UK, expressing her joy and reliance on her faith. She explained on Instagram that opting for a bouncer would cost £500 per day, which translates to approximately ₦1 million at the current exchange rate of ₦2,090 per pound.
Teni highlighted that if she were to spend that amount, it would be better used to support her aunt, who could serve as a personal guard. She argued that she didn’t consider herself a high-risk individual deserving of such costly protection, comparing herself to Osama Bin Laden in a light-hearted manner.
She emphasized her faith in God by stating, “The Lord is my shepherd; God has told me He is my shepherd. No one can guard me better than God.” Teni also mentioned that upon arriving in the UK, she was warned about potential thefts and dangerous individuals, which led to suggestions from fans to hire a bouncer. However, she chose not to, reinforcing her trust in divine protection.
