The twelve newly elected members of the House of Representatives have been sworn in during Thursday’s plenary session, with Speaker Tajudeen Abbas administering the oath of office.
These elections followed by-elections and reruns conducted by INEC in various federal constituencies across the country.
Some lawmakers were removed by the Court of Appeal, prompting reruns in certain constituencies.
The newly sworn-in members include:
1. Umar Garba (Ngaski/Shanga/Yauri Federal constituency of Kebbi state – APC)
2. Ifeoluwa Ehindero (Akoko North East/North West of Ondo state – APC)
3. Faud Laguda (Surulere 1 federal constituency of Lagos state – APC)
4. Saleh Zock (Kachia/Kangaroo federal constituency of Kaduna state – APC)
5. Daniel Ago (Jos North/Bassa federal constituency of Plateau state – LP)
6. Yusuf Tafoki (Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa of Katsina state – APC)
7. Mohammed Jajere (Fune/Fune federal constituency of Yobe state – PDP)
8. Rabiu Kamba (Arewa/Dandi federal constituency of Kebbi state – APC)
9. Emma Udo (Ikono/Ini federal constituency of Akwa Ibom state – YPP)
10. Emil Inyang (Akamkpa/Biase Federal constituency of Cross River State – APC)
11. Peter Uzokwe (Nnewi North/Nnewi South federal constituency of Anambra state – YPP)
12. Chinwe Orumba North/Orumba South federal constituency of Anambra – YPP)
13. Adamu Yakubu (Birnin Kudu/Buji federal constituency of Jigawa state – PDP)
