Patient with Computer Chip Inserted into his Brain is Recovering-
By Abbati Bako, Global Political Analyst and Strategist
This writing is on the same page with Elon Musk that technological advancement is now exponential. Likewise, Professor George Friedman the author of the book titled “The Next 100 Years” and in his observation “the world will be changing in every 20 years and no one ever expected the fall of the former Soviet Union”. That’s the world we are currently living in and things will continue as such, till eternity.
This writing understands that the current global population has reached 8.2b. “World meter” reports that in Nigeria about 24,000 children are born in 24 hours.
In African Continent alone consists of 17% of global population and Nigeria with 2.5% of global population. In advanced societies in Europe there’s only 15% of world population compared to South South of the world with 85%. African continent will consist of 40% of the world population at the end of the 21st Century as predicted by United Nations (UN). Despite the forecasted population surge, there’s little to no contribution in terms of technology and science from the African Continent.
Advancement in Artificial intelligence (AI)
Without doubt, that will impact the global economy. All sectors of the economy from Healthcare to Finance, Logistics, Labour market, Security, Oil and Gas will face a dramatic impact. Google, Microsoft and Artificial Intelligence will be able to provide an accurate diagnosis to patients. Self-driving cars and trucks from Tesla will change how people and goods are transported. Blockchain technology (cryptocurrency) will cause a fundamental paradigm shift in the Financial sector. Space tourism will open a new era and create a new market in the global economy. Most of labour work (skilled and unskilled) will be automated by AI-powered robots.
What does Africa stand? Participation in the global economic interplay directly reflects on a country’s GDP. What is the future of Nigeria and population of unemployment in my country and African Continent? What is the plan of the current President of Nigeria Bola Tinubu between now and 2030?
To be continued InshaAllah
