As part of his efforts to reduce the level of poverty and make the constituents to be self-reliant, Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, the lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja, will on Thursday 29th Of December 2022 roll out hundreds of sewing machines and other skill materials for fashion designers in Ose local government area of Ondo State. The empowerment programme which has 500 beneficiaries selected across the federal constituency will have the Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON as the Special Guest of Honour and Pa. Jacob Oredola as the Chairman of the day.Â
According to Adelegbe, he said the gesture to empower members of his constituency is a designed to be a routine exercise and to cushion the effect of hardship in the land.Â
“We have designed this empowerment programmes in series by series. Its a routine intervention, we have embarked on different empowerment programmes, we are repeating another form of such, we are now empowering our Tailors and Fashion Designers”.
Going by statistics, this series of this empowerment programme will sum the total figure of beneficiaries of Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe’s empowerment scheme to be 4000 with both cash and valuable materials.
