Governor Nyesom Wike dismisses criticism of the Judges Quarters project, reaffirming his commitment to infrastructure development.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, expressed indifference towards critics of his initiative to construct housing for judges and justices in the FCT.
During an inspection of the ongoing development of Judges Quarters and the associated access road in Katampe District, Abuja, Wike emphasized that he remains unfazed by the negative feedback, asserting that he has the necessary approvals and support from the National Assembly.
He dismissed the critics as individuals who, despite having opportunities, fail to contribute meaningfully.
Wike highlighted the importance of providing a conducive working environment for judicial officers, stating that the government’s efforts to enhance their conditions should not be met with opposition.
He further noted that the administration under President Bola Tinubu is committed to improving the lives of Nigerians, and the positive response from residents serves as motivation for continued progress in various projects across the city and its satellite towns.
The minister expressed his admiration for the rapid progress of the projects and praised the contractors for upholding quality standards.
Regarding unemployment, he emphasized that job creation is a key focus of the Tinubu administration, noting that numerous young individuals have found employment with various companies involved in different projects throughout the FCT.
