Israel’s military says “conducting precise str!kes on military targets in Iran,” it said in a statement early on Saturday local time, after reports emerged of explosions heard in Tehran.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that the str!kes are a response to Iran, which has been “relentlessly atta.cking” Israel since October 7th “on seven fronts – including direct atta.cks from Iranian soil.”
“Like every other sovereign country in the world, the State of Israel has the right and the duty to respond,” the statement added.
The IDF also war.ned that its “def3nsive and off3nsive capabilities are fully mobilized.”
Earlier in October, Iran f!red a barrage of miss!les at Israel after the k!lling of Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah and others. The region has been bracing for Israel’s response for weeks.
