Ondo State Governor, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has revealed that the state is the highest cocoa producer in Nigeria. The governor made this announcement during the Sunday Service at the Government House Chapel on June 2, 2024, in Alagbaka, Akure.
Earlier, the Special Adviser to the Governor – Health, Professor Simidele Odimayo, who delivered the sermon, called for prayers for the governor to lead the state to greater heights, prosperity, and enviable development.
As usual, the Ondo State Cocoa Council attended the worship service with the governor this Sunday. While thanking members of the State Cocoa Council for their attendance, Governor Aiyedatiwa acknowledged their contributions and productivity, stating that the state is leading in cocoa production in Nigeria.
The service was attended by senior government officials including the Commissioner for Land and Housing, Chief Akinwumi Sowore, Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr Razaq Obe, Commissioner for Agriculture, Olayato Aribo.
Also, Chief of Protocols, Abayomi Olasanya, the Special Adviser on Energy, Engr Johnson Alabi and other dignitaries were in attendance.
