Today marks a momentous occasion as the newly appointed Osun Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Development, Hon. (Princess) Ayobola Fadeyi Awolowo, officially assumes office following her inauguration.
In a meeting with the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Modupe Irelewuyi, held at the early hour of today, Hon. Fadeyi-Awolowo reaffirmed her commitment to forging a strong and collaborative working relationship that will propel the State towards greater prosperity and advancement.
The Honourable Commissioner expressed her profound dedication to serving the people of the State diligently, with a focus on promoting the well-being and empowerment of women and children through her visionary approach to social development aims to create a more inclusive and compassionate society where everyone can thrive and prosper.
“I am honoured to take on this crucial role and work alongside Mrs. Modupe Irelewuyi and other officers of the Ministry,” said Hon. Fadeyi-Awolowo. “Together, we will drive initiatives that uplift and protect the vulnerable, ensuring that they have equal opportunities to contribute to the growth and progress of our great State.”
Furthermore, the Commissioner emphasized her confidence in the government of Gov Ademola Adeleke, assuring all civil servants in the State that people-oriented policies will remain at the forefront of their agenda. She expressed her commitment to the continued delivery of dividends of democracy, affirming that under Senator Ademola Adeleke’s leadership, the State’s civil servants will experience even more significant improvements in their working conditions and welfare.
During the meeting, other principal officers of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Development were present, including the Director of Social Welfare, Mrs. Hannah Mosadomi, Director of Administration and Supply, Mrs. Taiwo Adeleke and Director of Finance and Account, Mrs. Folakemi Adebayo.
