Local hunters (names withheld) have reportedly killed a Hippopotamus at the bank of the River Benue.
A Facebook user, Sultanate Al-lokowiey said the incident occurred on Thursday July 06 at Ebete, a border community in Benue with neighbouring Nasarawa State.
The hunters according to him who were six (6) in numbers killed the semi-aquatic mammal using local tools.
Al-lokowiey added that the local hunters hails from Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.
