Executive Chairman Akure South Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Olaniyi has felicitated with Christians as they mark this year’s Easter Celebration which is the symbolic rembrance of the crucification and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Olaniyi called on all Christians to imbibe godly values of righteousness, peace and justice which are the true nature of Christ.
He stated this in a message to Christians at this year’s Easter season.
The council boss urged Christian community to emulate Jesus Christ by making sacrifices that would advance the cause of development and nation building.
While wishing all residents of the local government a hitch free Easter celebration,he urged all Christians and other religion faithful to be conscious of the enormous responsibility to live in peace and harmony with one another so as to promote social economic development of the State and Nigeria at large.
Olaniyi however thanked the residents for their contribution and support to the administration as it worked to implement projects and policies that were designed to improve the living standard of the people.
