The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has again expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Osun state for their overwhelming vote for his candidacy at the July 16 , 2022 governorship election, pledging never to disappoint the people as the Governor of the state.
Speaking at the annual Ramadan lecture organised for him and his family, Governor Adeleke who recalled his travails on the journey to the governorship of Osun state thanked his family members, friends, party people and associates for their trust and belief in his destiny and capacity to lead Osun state to greater heights.
While thanking Imam Hamodu Tijani Babatunde Kede who is the guest lecturer and the Adeleke General Summit which organised the family prayers, Governor Adeleke who was emotional about his eventual ascendancy to the governorship said Osun people demonstrated uncommon love and backing at every moments of the political journey.
” I cannot stop to thank the good people of Osun. From 2018 when we were denied the governorship to the July 2022 election, it was God and Osun People. After our July victory, Osun voters again honored me and my party with landslide wins at federal and state elections. It is unprecedented.
” I promise once again never to disappoint our people. I am governing the state with an eye on my electoral promises. Every inch of the way, we will keep faith with the aspirations and wishes of our people. Despite the poor state of finance inherited from my predecessor, we are resolved to ensure the dividends of democracy are delivered. This is a true government of the people, for the people and by the people”, Governor Adeleke posited.
Flanked by the Senator Elect for Osun West, Dr Lere Oyewumi, his wife, Mrs Tiltilayo Adeleke, Hon Bamidele Sallam and other party chieftains, the State Governor urged the people not to relent in their prayers for the state and his administration as he assured that “We will not for a minute do anything against public good.
“I have a vow to God and the people, that is to serve truly and sincerely. Our programmes and policies will target only public good. Wherever the people are, that is where you will find me, my team and my party”, the State Governor affirmed.
The event graced by top government and party functionaries witnessed a landmark lecture centering on a film the preacher tagged ” Eyiyato” which described the divine journey of Governor Adeleke to power through a network of actors, producers, fans and marketers which include the Governor himself, his Chief of Staff, Hon Kazeem Akinleye, Dr Deji Adeleke, Yeyeluwa Dupe Adeleke – Sanni and a host of other members of the production team from within and outside the ruling party.
” This film started last year and today we unveiled it. It is a story of how Governor Adeleke asked Allah for power last year, how God assembled executive producers, actors, marketers and promoters for him.
“Because it is Allah’s will, he will not lose that power; his victory shall remain sustained by Allah’s will”, the preacher , Imam kede affirmed.
