He felicitated with Muslim faithful on this year’s Eid – el – Fitr celebrations, marking the end of the Ramadan fasting.
Hon Ifedayo Abegunde Abena admonished all Nigerians not to relent in their prayers for Nigeria, particularly, as the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is set to take the mantle of leadership of our dear country.
“ I admonish fellow Muslim brothers and sisters to continue on the glorious path of godly living we all lived during the Holy month of Ramadan. Eid el-fitr festival symbolises sacrifice, selflessness, love and obedience to the tenets of Islam. I therefore enjoin us to draw enduring lessons from Ramadan and show love to one another as well as promote harmony, peaceful coexistence, and leverage our diversity for national development.
“I also use this season to implore all Nigerians to continue to pray for our dear nation, and also support and cooperate with the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The enormous task of nation building requires the support of all well-meaning and patriotic citizens. Therefore, we should collectively join hands to rebuild our nation.
“I wish all Muslims Happy Eid El Fitr celebrations and may the Almighty Allah continue to bless our nation. Ameen”.
