Ramadan 2023: PDP enjoins Muslims to pray for sustainable peace and progress of Osun state

As the Muslim Ummah begins the pious month of Ramadan, the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has enjoined Islamic faithful in the state to intensify supplications to almighty Allah for continued peace and prosperity of the state.

According to the Quran, fasting is a reflective exercise prescribed for mankind to become mindful of God during which people adhere to feel closer to God. It is also a time for celebrating the miracle of the Divine Quran. During Laylat al-Qadr, also known as the Night of Power, the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad(S. A. W), all of which are observed and celebrated during Ramadan. 

A statement from the office of the PDP state Caretaker Committee Chairman on Thursday, commended the Islamic clerics and Muslim community in general for being consistently at the forefront of ceaseless prayers for the state, which contributed in no small measure to the progress the state has made in recent months.

As a religion of peace, the PDP appeals to all adherents of islam in the state to continue to maintain peace and agelong religious harmony the state has enjoined especially under the PDP administration of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

“As the ruling party, we appreciate the the support we have received from all stratas of the state, especially the Muslim Ummah. It is however important that we all continue to rally round Governor Nurudeen Adeleke as he strives to right all wrongs and move the state to enviable height”

The holy month of Ramadan couldn’t have come at a better time the state requires the face of the almighty, to repell sworn enemies of the state who are spoiling for war and destruction. This is however the month such enemies of Allah crash into their waterloo”
