The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the All Progressive Congress, APC’s candidate, Hon. (Dr.) TimehinAdelegbe, winner of the House of representatives election in Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Ondo state.
Adelegbe who polled a total of 34,550 votes defeating his rival Ayo Arowele of People Democratic Party, PDP, who polled a total of 20,865 votes.
Announcing the winner, Professor Phillips Ilesanmi Alao who is the returning officer for the election, announced the election results at the INEC Collation Centre located in Owo.
Phillips said, “I hereby declared as the returning officer for Owo/Ose Fed. Const., House of Reps., that Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes, is hereby declared the winner and he is returned elected.”
