Plans Annual Disbursement to Over 2,000 Indigent Students…

SENATOR-to-be from Osun Central senatorial district, Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi, today exemplified his soft spot for improved welfare of students of tertiary institutions by disbursing a whooping sum of N18.5 million for 720 indigent students.
The payment of bursary award to PhD, Master’s degree, final year and 100 level-matriculated students was part of his cardinal agenda to revamp the education sector and provide support for struggling students in Osun Central senatorial district.
The Osun Central senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, while addressing beneficiaries of the bursary award, said the motive for the disbursement of such humongous amount was a continuous efforts to help academically brilliant Osun Central students achieve their goals and be able to pay for their tuition, purchase textbooks and other study materials as well as feed themselves.
The bursary award ceremony was held today at the Osogbo City Hall, Opposite UBA, Olonkoro, Osogbo the State capital of Osun State with students, parents of the beneficiaries, dignitaries, party and community leaders in attendance.
Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi emphasised that the bursary award was a tip of the iceberg compared to the many more stupendous benefits that will come if elected in the February 25, 2023 election. He promised that his administration will increase beneficiaries of the yearly bursary award to over 2,000, eliminating monetary challenges and other forms of distractions that may inhibit the beneficiaries quest for quality education.
The donor of the multimillionaire bursary award, Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi, while congratulating the beneficiaries, reminded them that the gesture was a challenge for them to further excel in their academic pursuits, so that they can contribute their own quota to the development of Osun Central senatorial district and indeed, Nigeria in future.
The bursary award ceremony was attended by very important personalities, viz: Hon. Moshood Yakub, Hon. Aderibigbe Rasheed Ascendo, Otunba Femi Carena, Barrister Kolapo Alimi, Hon. Akin Titiloye, Alhaji Muniru Adebayo, Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji, Hon. Igbalaye Teslim (represented), Yeyeluwa of Edeland, Chief (Dr) Mrs Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni represented by Hon. (Princess) Ayobola Fadeyi Awolowo, Hon. Omotayo Babalola Igbomina Today, Mr Adekunle Makanjuola, Otunba Tunde Badmus, Coach Oyekunle Mumini, Ambassador Abd Adeife Masscomm and other very important personalities.
