Other APC candidates are Ondo East House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Olamide Oladiji Landmark, his counterparts in Ondo West Constituency 1 and Ondo West Constituency 2, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju (OMO) and Hon. Biola Oladapo respectively.

The landmark historical solidarity walk which is the first in recent history of political gatherings kicked off at Bolorunduro Town in Ondo East Local Government before the train moved to the popular Akure Garage (Akure motor park) into the waiting mammoth crowd of leaders, members, supporters and admirers of APC in the Kingdom.

Leading the pack of APC leaders during the walk was the current House of Representatives representing the good people of Ondo East and West Federal Constituency at Abuja who is also the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ondo East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Abiola Peter Makinde.

Other notable leaders present at the political event were not limited to Ondo Central Senatorial District candidate of APC, Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN, the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon. Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, her counterpart from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Hon. Wálé Akinlosotu, the Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Strategy, Political and Legislative Matters, Hon. Dr. Ajibayo Adeyeye and the wife of Hon. Dr. Abiola Peter Makinde, Ambassador Dr. Rhoda Makinde.

Others were Ondo West Local Government Chairman, Hon. Akinsulire Ebenezer Ayodeji and his counterpart from Ondo East Local Government, Hon. Wálé Akinkuotu (Sir Little). Also present at the event were Ondo West Local Government Vice – Chairman, Hon. Akintunde John Folajimi (Jimiok) and his counterpart from Ondo East Local Government, Hon. Duyile Joshua.

The Deputy Majority Leader in Ondo State House of Assembly who is also the party’s candidate for Ondo East House of Assembly, Hon. Oladiji Olamide Landmark and Ondo West Constituency 1 and Constituency 2 candidates, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju and Hon. Biola Oladapo respectively were not left out.Other notable leaders present were Chief Mrs. Olawoye Adenike (Mama Aserere), former Ondo West APC women leader, Hon. Mrs. Erelu Abimbola Òshífẹ̀sọ̀, former Ondo West APC Secretary, Barr. Sarafa Okewoye (SOJ), former Ondo West APC Assistant Secretary, Hon. Omotayo Awosika, state, local governments and ward executives and others too numerous to mention.

Sulaiman Atawewe, the guest musician for the solidarity walk sonorously led other famous Ondo based musicians to add glamor and life to the ‘talk of the town’ political event in Ondo Kingdom to herald the attention and validation of electorate towards APC with beautiful renditions of songs while attracting great applause from the huge crowd of party faithful.

The solidarity walk procession progressed through the popular Yaba Street down to Ìdí Ajé to Igunrin down to Òkè Odunwo and climaxed at Ọkà roundabout in Ondo City.

At Ọkà roundabout, heart warming remarks poured in from party leaders and party candidates.

In their remarks, the party’s candidates for Ondo East and West House of Representatives and Ondo East House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Abiola Peter Makinde and Hon. Olamide Oladiji Landmark respectively reiterated their efforts to consolidate on their far reaching impactful achievements in the last three and half years in office when re-elected into office for a second term.They also reminded the people of Ondo Kingdom, of the corporate benefits of voting enmass for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become Nigeria’s next president and all the party’s candidates for the sake of rapid infrastructural development of Ondo Kingdom.

Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju and Hon. Biola Oladapo also pledged their commitment to work with the government at the state level in order to attract developments to their respective Constituencies.

Speaking earlier, the Executive Chairman of Ondo West Local Government, Hon. Akinsulire Ebenezer Ayodeji eulogised the political sagacity and competence of Hon. Dr. Abiola Peter Makinde in view of the numerous development projects facilitated by him and his amiable wife, Ambassador Dr. Rhooda Makinde through her Non – Governmental Organisation (NGO), Dr. Rhoda Oluwatoberu Makinde Initiative code named ‘DROMI’.

He further stressed the need to re – elect the best performing MHR since 1999 in Ondo Kingdom according to him while urging the electorate not to fall for other people who are poised to take the progress of Ondo backwards.

Speaking in the same tone, a former aspirant of APC in Ondo West Constituency 1, Hon. Onidare Sunday Bukunmi (OSB) and a leader in the party, Chief Johnson Akinlosotu (Baba Alade igbó) applauded the great achievements of Hon. Dr. Abiola Peter Makinde in the last three and a half years as Ondo Federal lawmaker and charged the electorate to cast their votes in large numbers for Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN for Senate, Hon. Dr. Abiola Peter Makinde for MHR, Hon. Olamide Oladiji Landmark for Ondo East MHA, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju for Ondo West Constituency 1 and Hon. Biola Oladapo for Ondo West Constituency 2.Associations, Trade Unions, Artisan groups in their numbers domiciled in Ondo that also participated in the political walk all endorsed and affirmed their readiness to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates at all levels in Ondo Kingdom while the Ondo West Local Government APC secretary, Pastor Adegoke Owolabi offered prayers for all the candidates and Ondo Kingdom to bring the event to a close.
