The federal lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Hon.(Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe has empowered more than one hundred constituents with vehicles, motorcycles and other valuables worth N300m to deserving party members which were selected across the 23 wards of the federal constituency and at the same time received 3,000 decampees from the opposition party mainly the PDP and the SDP.While distributing the items to the beneficiaries at the Owo Stadium, Oke- Ogun, Owo, Adelegbe noted that this phase of the empowerment is a continuous one, assuring the people should expect more of it.“We have embarked on several empowerment prpgrammes, let me tell you that more are still coming throughout this year till next year.
“I want to beg all of everyone who have not benefitted, it will get to you”.
“This is just the first phase of the empowerment. The second phase of the empowerment will soon be launched.“During the second phase of the empowerment, I will take care of the Iyalojas, all the markets women and men in Owo and Ose will not be left out. We will not only concentrate on party people alone but the market women”, the legislator noted.
The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, who was represented by the Commissioner for Finance, Akinterinwa, eulogized Adelegbe as the architect of the modern Owo/Ose Constituency.“I have gone through his achievements, he has embarked on several projects up to 50 in the two local government areas. He has touched most of his constituents”.Â
“We have seen what he has been able to do. If we want this type of empowerment to continue, let’s us return him to the National Assembly again”.
“In APC, there is enough room for all, we don’t want to give room for APC in Ondo state. You can see the number of people that decamped from the opposition party. Its because Adelegbe and the party is doing well in the federal constituency”.Speaking at the occasion, the Ondo North Senatorial Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Pa. Jacob Oredola lauded Adelegbe for initiating impactful programmes for the constituents. He implored the beneficiaries to make good use of the empowerment materials.

They were received by the Governor, Chief Of Staff to the Governor, Olugbenga Ale and other party leaders into the ruling party, APC, assuring them of a good sense of belonging, adding that the ruling party is wide enough to accommodate all interests.The leader of the decampees, noted that the achievements of Adelegbe motivated them to join the ruling party.“Today, We are joining APC because we can see the achievements of Hon. Adelegbe. We want progress for this constituency. The only way we can help in bringing progress to this constituency is to throw our weight behind Adelegbe who is surely performing”.Those who attended the occasion included the Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Akinterinwa; His counterpart in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Olayato Aribo; the Ondo North Senatorial Chairman, Pa. Jacob Oredola, Fmr. Ose Council boss and fmr PDP Chieftain,Hon. Dennis Alonge, Ondo North APC Senatorial District Candidate, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba, the APC Candidate for Ose Constituency, Chief Oshati Olatunji, aka Maxima, Hon. Shola Oluyede, Ward Chairmen, Councillors and other important dignitaries.Items distributed at the programme includes 2 branded patrol vehicles for men of the Nigerian Police to enhance security network in Owo and Ose, Owo Division, 2 branded security patrol vehicles for men of the Amotekun Corps, 46 branded Volwagen Golf 4 saloon cars and 150 motorcycles were given to members of the constituency to aid their mobility.
